Replacing Sink Drain

Da boss wanted new bathroom sink faucets so I purchase a nice set of Jaccuzzi brand faucets. The new set did not have the remote sink drain lever, but instead had the spring loaded feature (push to open and push to close). My problem is the sink drain opening is only 1 1/4 inch in diameter and new drain is much larger 1 5/8 inch. I've been to 3 plumbing supply houses looking for a drain with the "spring pop up" feature for the 1 1/4 inch opening and I'm not finding any. Has anyone found such an animal? I don't want to resort to the old rubber stopper route if I don't have to.

Try Amazon. Look for vessel sink drains. Maybe something like this https://www.amazon.com/Aquafaucet-Ba...s%2C174&sr=8-8

Thanks for the reply. Both of these drains are for larger than 1 1/4 sink drain openings. The 1 1/4 inch reference is to the tail stock piece that is below the actual drain that fits into the p trap. Any more suggestions?

Old-Biscuit I've been thinking of that, but the sink has a hollow section where the drain is of about an inch or inch and a half to another round opening that the drain must go through sand seal. I'm afraid that with no pilot hole to guide the saw it would be hard to keep it centered. The rubber drain plug is sounding better to me with a standard drain which I've found , but I've still got to convince the boss that is the best route to go. Still considering a rotary grinder to opening the holes a bit. Still keeping both holes aligned presents a problem. Thanks

flttire101-

Our coach's bathroom sink is a LaSalle Bristol 16166 (links here, here and here); it comes with a glue-on tailpiece and plastic stopper. I have yet to find a sink of the same size that uses "standard" drain hardware.

A search of RVUpgrades (link here) turned up a few choices for sink stoppers. Perhaps one would work for your application.

Our 2014 Phaeton had pop up drains but I couldn’t tell you what the diameter of them was. Maybe call the Tiffin store??
