Resetting the safe - 2015 Bus 37AP

Good morning, everyone! We recently purchased a new to us 37AP Bus and canít find any information on the safe. The owners manual just says it has one - not very helpful! Is there a way to reset the safe so we can create our own code? My husband thought he knew what it was and I tried what I remembered his telling me - no luck and now, it doesnít beep when you hit the buttons. Can anyone help? TIA!

Sounds like the batteries are dead. You should have received a key for it. There's a small plastic cover below the number pad that pries off to expose the lock. I think you have to get it open to reset the code. Tiffin has used a couple of different brands of safes so you need to determine what yours is and look it up on an internet search.

Dan's correct. There's a small barrel key that will open the safe. I think our safe is from Stack On, but it nor the manual are with me so I can't confirm that.

Went thru some of this with our 2016 Phaeton. Stack-on has been bought and if you don't have/can't get the actual serial number (supposedly on inside of door--can't open it, you may be out of luck) they can't/won't make a barrel key. Luckily, ours was locked in the open position, took the door to locksmith and had a different lock put in.
Hope someone can help you.
Call Tiffin Monday, maybe some help there.

I donít have a Tiffin but my used Winnebago came with a Stack On mini safe. The dealer was clueless regarding how to open it. I called Stack On and was instructed by them to go online and download a form to request a replacement key. I had to print it and send it to them with a copy of my sales invoice and registration to prove ownership and a check for $10. When I got the key in about a week I was able to open the safe and reprogram an new PIN number.

If you need the safe serial number, hopefully the PO left the Tiffin printouts on the rear closet wall. On one you should find the safe make and serial number.

TXTiger,
Went thru the same deal, but with Stack-On now Alpha-Guardian. How did they identify which key your safe had? I was told no key without a model/serial number.

Vlunceford,
My safe had a 1-2-3-4 code from the factory that woke up the digital face, but I had access to the inside and put new batteries. After that I was able to enter a new owner code. Still, was unwilling to depend on the digital lock only and no key. That is why I replaced the lock with another one with keys. If yours is dead, don't know what you can do unless you can get keys from the mfg.
