Rolling Alarm!

Has anyone had this alarm appear on the dash? Currently my slides won’t operate. The emergency brake is engaged and the key is on. The Spyder control panel shows the ignition green but the emergency brake engage red. Also my dash stays on after the key has been removed. Reset the chassis batteries and house batteries. No difference. When driving the alarm goes away. The manual gives this explanation “ If the vehicle is in neutral gear and the brake pedal is not depressed, nor the parkbrake engaged, this alarm will display”.

Thanks in advance

With the symptoms you've noted my first step would be to call Tiffin and tell them what you have. I'm not sure how your system interfaces with the Spyder panel, but in my Bus there's a safety switch mounted on the rear of the emergency button. When this switch fails, slides don't extend or retract, buzzers sound and other strange things happen. Changing the switch is quite easy but does require you to get under the dash to disassemble. When my switch failed Tiffin sent me a new one and I did the change out in an hour or so, and had never done it before. You should still be covered by the warranty.

Ok, just heard from the dealer. Some sort of bad connection / lose wire with the emergency brake switch behind the dash.

Thanks Tom
