Running furnace with slides in

Howdy! I have a 2001 Allegro Bus 37TP equipped with 2 furnaces. The po advised me not to run the furnace with the slides in. I have looked through the Tiffan owners manual and Suburban manual and find no such warnings. I like to boondock on our way south and keep the slides in when parked for night, or maybe use the furnaces when running down the road. Any answers on this? Thanks!

You would have to examine the air returns and heat vents for each furnace; if a return or vent is blocked with the slides in , then there is a chance you could overheat the furnace due to the restricted air flow. If no restrictions I'd say your good to use them.
If your still in doubt, maybe a call to Tiffin is in order.

Look at your air ducts. If they are not blocked by a slide or a floor, then it is OK to run those furnaces. Neither of my furnaces are blocked and I would run them if needed.

Thanks for the replies. I ran the furnaces with slides in, they seem to produce the same volume of hot air, and outside venting seemed the same.
