schwintek slide 1/2 out then stops

I have a 2020 allegro red 340 motorhome and the large kitchen slide goes about 1/2 way then stops, then I bring slide back in and try it again and it goes all the way. Is this normal or could it be binding on something? Sounds normal, it is a very large slide and the motors seem to be underpowered? How can I check if everything is normal?

A similar issue has recently (and has many times before on other threads) been discussed here:

https://www.irv2.com/forums/f106/ano...ml#post6213224

I posted the synch procedure in the thread.

Hope this helps!
Sam

If it’s a Schwintek slide, chances are it’s out of sync. Hopefully someone on here has a copy of the procedure they can post.

I am not that familiar with your coach. My assumption would be a "large kitchen slide" would be hydraulic and not Schwintec. If hydraulic, check your fluid level. If Schwintec, go thru the sync procedure both fully extended and full retracted.

We need a little better description of the slide. Does it have the dual cog rails on each end of the slide? Does it rise up as it closes and lower down as it extends? The geared cog rails on each end will be a Schwintek slide. The electric drop down type has a large gear motor under the slide with a rack and pinion drive. A hydraulic lowering down slide will not be motor driven directly.

If resyncing doesn't help you should find your Schwintek motor controller. It displays a number of useful fault codes. This may help; https://www.rvtravel.com/ask-dave-override-schwintek-controller-retract-slideout-rvdt-1870/

update, I took the switch off the seat and found out that it works remotely (without wires) , therefore I now think it loses blue tooth connection to the slide.

You’ll find that ALL of the panels, except the main one, are powered by a CR2032 button battery! They don’t tell you about that in any manual

You may want to run your motor to get maximum voltage to the Schwintek slide system.

I should mention that this is specific to the RED340 model.
