Short Excursion - Setup

We will be taking a 2 week excursion and leaving our RV in a very nice RV resort. While we are gone plan to retract all slides, turn water off, secure sewer, put all shades down, set a/c for 85 deg, turn ice maker off, secure sewer. Confirm absence with park staff. What else would you do?

You have it covered. Enjoy your trip and don't try to worry about it. Let your neighbors know. I truly believe they will keep an eye on things in the event someone noses around, although extremely unlikely in a nice park.

We do this every winter thru the Christmas season. Leave the coach and high tail it back north in the toad.

We do stay in a nice rv resort and have friends there so maybe a little bit different scenario. In fact I leave them with a set of keys and they check on it every few days. Never a problem.

Do thunder storms come through that area? I wouldn't leave it plugged in if they do.

Retract the awning too.

Do you have a battery disconnect for the engine battery? If so disconnect the engine battery so it doesn't get run down.

Water damage is the #1 issue and you have that covered. However, rotten food in a refer or freezer is #2 so I think you should empty it of all perishable items that might rot and stink if you lost power or the refer shut down. I've left mine off for 10 days while traveling to Hawaii (no tunnel available) but I emptied it of everything but condiments. They survived. No breads either but canned drinks will be fine.

Have a great trip.

IMO…..I disconnect and store everything but shore power. Turn off propane if you have. Also, have a key hidden so you could tell park personnel where it is and enter if need be. I had a carbon monoxide alarm go bad alarming when I was gone once. The neighbors really appreciated a way to turn it off. (Yes, things were checked)
Going one step further, I love my Blink camera systems. Have three of them for two sticks and bricks and the coach.
Safe travels…..
