side radiator question

My 2008 allegro bus has a side radiator. Should I be cleaning it with something like simple green extreme which is safe for aluminum or does it not need to be cleaned? I read a lot of people cleaning their rear radiator units because of the close proximity to the engine. Appreciate your advice.

Side rad will collect dust and other debris , so cleaning should be part of the maintenance schedule, I do mine every 2 years , but rear rad should be done more often, 7,500 miles or annual .

I clean my side radiator once every two years. It doesn't get as dirty as a rear radiator unit. Plus it's relatively easy to do.

I use a spray can of air conditioner fin cleaner on mine. It's simply a HD cleaner which will not harm anything. I cleaned mine when we purchased the MH, and again when we returned from our Canadian maritimes trip, the first cleaning was needed, the last didn't result in any dirt, oil, or debris on the pavement afterwards.
I would not consider frequency of required cleaning to stop me from buying a rear radiator coach.
