Slide not synced
I know i have seen this somewhere here but I cannot find it.
So here goes (again i am sure)
We have a 2018 RED 37PA and the passenger side rear slide does not go in or out evenly and it seems to be getting worse. Is there a way to re-sync the slide so that it moves evenly.
Thanks

George is essentially correct, but left out a couple of subtle tips.
If the slide is completely in: run the slide out 3 to 4 inches, stop, then run it in and hold the in button down until all motor noises cease (several seconds). Do this 3 or 4 times and that should sync the slide motors.
It works if the slide is completely out also, just run it in a few inches and then out again and hold the out button until all motor noises cease.
After doing this procedure, see if the slide moves evenly and if not, do the procedure again. I've had to accomplish the slide re-sync a few times and it always worked. Once I had to do the procedure a couple times to get the slides moving completely in sync.
If in further doubt, call Tiffin service and speak to a tech. They will help you.

Sync yours as soon as possible, running them out of sync can ruin the tracks. I found out the hard way last year on a trip, ended up sitting for 8 days waiting for repairs and parts.
I now resync the slides frequently just to keep them running smoothly.
And as stated, it’s important to hold the button or Spyder panel for at least 5 seconds after slide is fully in or out.
Lastly, it’s not good to stop the slide partway out or in.

I have the 34PA Open Road, and both rear slides are Schwintek electric slides. I had the issue of not being able to retract the Driver's Side Rear Slide this summer and ended up calling Red Bay for some technical help. Following is an updated sync procedure that they sent me, and it worked on 1st attempt. Note also at the end of the write-up the warning about partially opening/closing the electric slides as that is a significant contributor to the occurrence of slides getting out of sync.
Synchronizing a Schwintek Slide.
This process will work with the slideout either in or out by simply reversing the procedure. We will be covering this with the slideout in the out position.
1. Quickly press and release the retract button. You do not want the slideout to make any movement.
2. Press and hold the extend button until the slideout motors startup and shutdown. When the motors cease to make any noise, you can release the extend button.
3. Repeat steps 1 and 2 4 more times completing this process 5 times total.
4. Retract the slideout between 3 and 4 inches.
5. Fully extend the slideout until the motors cease to make any noise.
6. Retract the slideout between 3 and 4 inches.
7. Fully extend the slideout until the motors cease to make any noise.
8. Fully retract the slideout holding the button until the motors cease to make any noise.
9. Fully extend the slideout.
If the slide extends fully and both ends contact the wall at the same time, you are finished with the sync procedure. Stopping a Schwentk slide before it reaches end of travel is the main reason they get out of sync. Always make sure that everything is clear so that you can fully run the slide without stopping. If the slide DOES NOT fully retract or extend by the above method you will have an issue that is not sync related. This could include a motor that is disconnected, or other options. You will need to refer to the control box to diagnose this issue. The Schwentk controller will give you a flashing red and green LED indicating which error code the controller detects.

Thanks all.
We tried all of the above and even had a Tiffin tech (at Red Bay) walk us through and still the problem exists. So we will have it looked at when we get to Larado TX later this week. Any one know where in Larado we should take it or a good mobile tech?

We had a similar problem with one of the bedroom slides. It actually got so out of sync that it would not retract and had to be brought in a few inches at a time. Techs at RB replaced the controller and checked all the wiring under the bed, still did not work. They finally found a loose connection at one of the motors. It was just connected enough to start the motor but would not provide enough voltage when the load increased about halfway in.
Those connections are on the top corners of the slide walls and can be reached with the slides in a few inches.

We actually got it fixed...I think.
Hit the extemd button three times fast, before the slide even moved. Then held in the return for a couple of second. AND it worked fine...so far. So thanks everyone.

Our bedroom slide does not come all the way in on just one corner. Will this procedure fix that problem?

If it's an electric slide vs. hydraulic actuated, it should. Use the full procedure I detailed above (from Tiffin), or if you'd feel better talking to a Tech there, give Tiffin a call.

Is it just at the top or bottom? If it's not even all the way up and down, then the gear may have jumped a cog on the side rail. The sync procedure only corrects how the slides move together it can't correct a top to bottom misalingment.

WE did talk to Tiffin and they could not "fix" it.

I don't know where I read it, but I've followed this sequence for deploying/retracting our Schwintek slides so they don't get out of alignment:
Before deploying, hold "IN" arrow button on the Spyder until the motors sync & stop (~1 second), then hold the "OUT" arrow button on the Spyder to deploy. Hold the button until the motors stop (~1-2 seconds)
Before retracting, hold the "OUT" arrow button on the Spyder until the motors sync & stop (~1 second), then hold the "IN" arrow on the Spyder to retract until fully closed. Hold the button until the motors stop (~1-2 seconds)
Wherever I read that, the idea behind it is due to vehicle movements (whether while driving or parked at a campsite) the motor locks don't always keep the slides from slightly creeping. The process I use is supposed to keep the motors in sync so they don't get out of alignment. Whether or not that's true I don't know, but I've not had issues with them getting out of alignment since I've been following that process. YMMV.
