Slide out desk on passenger side dash

Is there any way to adjust the slide tension on these things? Mine comes out on its own while driving

I used some self adhesive felt pads that are designed to be put on chair legs and furniture to protect floors. Took some trial and error but finally found the right spots to add friction to the table so it won’t slide out as easily.

I've used velcro with some success but the best fix was to use wedges to push the guides out to a point where friction kept the drawer in. Simply remove the drawer, loosen the right and left side guides and slip some thin cardboard between the track and drawer. Re-tighten the screws and re-install the drawer. If you get the friction you need, you are done, if not, rinse and repeat.

On many double extension drawer slides there is a bendable finger in the slide track that can be bent out with a screw driver to tighten the tension. In order to see it, remove the tray/drawer by pushing the release levers on the side and look at the track half that is mounted to the cabinet. Pry the finger out slightly and replace the drawer.

Along the same lines, has anyone replaced the glides with ones that allow the desk to be pulled out further? Even with the seat all the way forward it's an awkward reach.
