Spyder panel flashing problem
2019 Phaeton 40 IH
Both of the Spyder panels next to the bed in the master are flashing intermittently. The two are not identical, by that I mean the flash on the LH panel is just the floor heat on/off selector and on the RH side it is the ceiling bedroom and ceiling rear bath lights selectors.

Kevin, I would contact Christian or one of the others at Spyder to see what they say. Phone 866.919.9092 or email info@spydercontrols.com

Does your main panel (hallway by half bath) have a red yield sign flashing at the top? We had one by the bed does this and eventually it just went dark, didn’t illuminate when touching. The red yield sign on the main was flashing, so I touched it and it loaded the fault, which said it was offline. We had to replace it.

Spyder Panel flashing problem
I had a similar problem two days ago. I called Spyder and had great response and success. When I touch the flash red signal it took me to a message saying the bedroom panel was not responding. It was on, but had no function. The tech had me remove the bed panel which was flashing green. I temporarily unplugged the bed panel and tried it in the bath and it worked fine.
So he instructed me to look under the bed for a loose connector. After removing some screws and a false panel under the bed I found the connector on orange cable. I needed to unplug and reconnect which brought everything back alive. And all is well.
Hope this helps

Spyder Panel flashing problem
I should add that with my discussion with the tech explained that this is a common problem. Going as far to say they get similar calls once or twice a week. Seems unusual, but good to know. They might want to rethink they type connectors they are using.

To Reset Spyder System
I’ve reset ours a couple of times by just turning off the chassis and house batteries for a couple of minutes. I also shut off the inverter too just to make sure. After turning batteries / inverter back on the Spyder will be rebooted.
As pervious post, Christian at Spyder is extremely helpful if you get stuck.

I had the same issue and agree with jlturner. Do a master electrical reset and many times the re-boot will get rid of errors.
OR - It may be a loose connection. In my 2019 Phaeton 40IH, there was a junction BusBar where all the spider cables connected. It was located behind the upper cabinet, next to the pantry. I had keypads that would quit completly, and then come on after a reboot, or maybe after bringing a slide in or out. At Red Bay, the spyder tech tightened alll the connections on this Busbar, and I have not experienced a problem since.

Thanks. After reading this post, I did exactly as you suggested and the problem has been resolved. I have not heard back from the Spyder folks yet so that is a bit frustrating yet understandable.

Don will always reply rather quickly. Give him your name, VIIN,etc. If he doesn’t know he’ll forward your E-Mail to the correct Dept such as electrical engineer, etc. They will reply to you. I’ve done it many times with a Spyder problem and they always had a fix.
