We have the table and chairs option in our rig. Over the last few months the squeak from the table while we are traveling have moved from irritating to dreadful. We are heading to Red Bay in July to get some changed made, and we will made changing out the the table then. However I need something to get through the next two trips! Has anyone been successful with stuffing towels or such in? Any other suggestions?

Similar problem with table, when my wife started putting 25 pound dog food bag on the table I knew it was time to fix it. Wall bracket was secure to the wall, bracket that held the table was loose (cause of squeak), replaced all screws slightly larger than the originals, self-tapping, fixed! Pull the table all the way out and flex it up and down and you will find the squeak. Good luck.

After tightening and replacing the screws many times I decided to bring my table support bracket to a weld shop. I had to take the cabinet face frame apart which took some time and patience. Described what I wanted and they only charged 20 bucks.

It definitely seems like the original design is flawed but now I don't anticipate any more problems.

As far as temporary fixed. First thing to do is wedge a towel between the table and the face frame.

You can replace the screws with bigger screws which is likely what they will do in Red Bay and that will work for a while

The real problem is that bracket is flimsy and the single screw on each side is going to allow the table to move enough to work that screw loose. Not sure if you will have any luck but you can point out that the design sucks and ask them to do the modification in the pictures.

Yep, keep tightening the screws to get it to stop ... for a while then when it starts squeaking again you know you need to get out the screwdriver and do it again.

Definitely irritating. Also one of the L brackets broke on me. Tiffin sent me four under warranty. Drilled a new hole in the metal support arm to relieve some of the tension that caused the first break.

For similar squeak situations, I have used spray silicon lubricant. It comes with one of those tiny tubes to direct the spay on the rubbing surfaces. T

This also works well for dash or cabinet squeaks that cannot be reached easily.

I pulled the 2 screws out on mine. I then inserted rubber washers between the angle braces and steel table support (the two metal surfaces touching and squeaking) then replaced the screws. All's quiet on the table now.

Job requires a #2 Phillips head screwdriver. You may have to remove the angle brackets that prevent the table from pulling out first, in order to take the table top completely out.

The photos above were a bit different than my table. The photo shows angle iron for a frame. Mine had square tubular steel.

I just added a small lock washer just under the screw head and it's been fine since. I'm sure that at some point I'll need to tighten then again, but the frequency now is less than once a year rather than every trip.

Thanks for the recommendations. DH took the table out and tightened one of the screws that was quite loose. Hopefully that takes care of it. Otherwise we will stuff it with towels! I only have to have to last for one and a half trips until we get Chris Berry in Red Bay to replace it as part of a TV lift remodel of the area. We will mention it to Chris of course, and it will be interesting to see what option he comes up with.

I believe my table is the same as all the other squeeky tables. The picture may not be very good but the frame is square tubular steel and I had them weld a more substantial bracket onto the frame. I had already replaced my screws a few times and one of those flimsy L brackets and the engineer in me wanted to perminently resolve the issue.
