Starting a New Chapter and Adventure in RVing
A sad day leading to a Happy day. Confusing? Yeah, me too. Posted the 2005 Tiffin Phaeton that we have called our 2nd home for the last 8 years for sale Wednesday evening. Had no idea what we were in store for. Facebook was lighting up with questions. Thursday morning got a phone call from a nice person that lived one hundred miles away. Wanted to see the coach. Can I come NOW! Of course. While he was driving up here another contact called. 80 miles the other direction. I told him I had promised the first person that it would be here when he arrived. 2nd contact was distrought. Called back 30 minutes later. Wife said to buy it and he could put a deposit down over the phone. (we own a business so this was possible). I said no because I had given my word that it would be there. 1st customer was here for 3 hours. (2nd customer called 3 times). First customer left substantial deposit to return Friday to pick up. Asking price sale. Four other people that I know contacted me when they found out the coach was for sale. Knowing me and having seen the coach before, they wanted it to be their first coach. Too late.Wow, had a lot of good times in the Phaeton. Tiffin builds one heck of a RV. There are probably a few better RV's out there but nothing I could afford. Now we start our new chapter in RVing. Forrest River Sandpiper . We are converting to a 5ver. I already had the real nice F350 crew cab. Picking it up tomorrow. Leaving for Canal Campground at Ky/Barkley Lake in West Ky on Thursday morning. Here's hoping that the next 8 years in the Sandpiper are as happy as the last 8 years in the Phaeton. Thanks to the nice couple from Western Ky that now call Phaeton U53117 their new 2nd home. They got a really nice coach. We wish them the best.
