Steps on 2017 red 33aa

The steps on our coach do not retract with the ignition on.

When the switch is in the on position, the steps retract when door is closed. Switch in the off position and the steps stay out even with ignition on

Anyone else ever have this issue and what was the fix?

Do you have the door open when you turn the ignition on? Even with the ignition on, the steps will not retract until the door closes, safety feature. If they don't retract with the door closed and ignition on, then it's probably a controller problem. Here is a troubleshooting document that may help.

Thanks for the link. I will do the roubleshooting

Lt Dan,
I ran thru the troubleshooting guide. The yellow ignition wire had come loose from the connector plug. Reinstalled it and all is good.

For future reference my steps exhibited the same exact symptoms. All wires were intact. Controller replacement fixed mine.
