I use a bay that goes from side to side and mount pvc pipe to keep the poles handy.

On a previous motorhome used pole rack (not sure where bought but probably from amazon) & mounted them on side wall of under storage slide thru.
A pain to mount (crawl in) & a little difficult to take out & replace pole again.

Now just have it lying ready for use along full slide in basement wall to wall slide compartment.

I have seen people use PVC tubing with caps. You have to remove the reels, but they will be well protected.

As for my rods, I have a couple of hooks that I hang them on. I don't have to remove my reels that way, but they are at the mercy of other stuff in the compartment!

i used a single boat rod holder with the foam inserts on a compartment wall in a bay with a full slide tray... there was plenty of room... i only used one about 12" in from the door... about 3ft in from that i mounted a 4" ring (pvc ripe coupler but anything will work) all the rod tips go in this ring the reel end goes in the foam rod holder slots... the rod holder has a velcro strap that keeps them in the holder... I get 4 rods with reels tucked into unused space this way

All my rods are in PVC tubes with screw on caps. Put them anywhere and they never get damaged.
