Stuck in Sand (was)

I went to a small peninsula with four 50amp utilities backing in, walked the site first to make sure there were no issues, and didn't realize about 50 feet in there was soft sand on the passenger side. Coach came to a stop and instead of spinning the tires, I stopped immediately. Although soft sand was on the passenger side, a fairly hard surface was on the driver's side of both the front and drive axle.

Unfortunately, was unable to clear a path to drive out safely since the stuck in the sand rear drive wheels were not getting power, only the firm passenger side was spinning. Question: Does anyone know if it is possible on the Tiffin PowerGlide Chassis with Tag, is it possible to LOCK the rear end so that both drive wheels are spinning at the same rate? In other words, is it possible to lock the rear differential? Some have said I have a button somewhere I have no idea if or if not.

PS 500.00 later I was pulled out by a big rig tow company.

For consideration next time this happens throw a carpet or rug or floor matt from your toad under the tire. Should give you enough traction to get out. Have the same rig. No rear differential lock.

LOL some good detective work, Pirate Cove site 17a, stuck on Sunday 5.15.22. The park offered me some kid's plastic shovels at first then a couple of maintenance guys came by with shovels to let me use for an hour.

The issue was the fact that this spot is on the furthest left pulling in, and it's bordered with 200 lb rocks that should have been about 5 feet in where the ground was hard, this wouldn't have happened. I walked the track down the middle of where I would be backing up, but NOT the passenger side track.

The next day the park brought in a truckload of materials, rock, and hard soil to cover the area so it doesn't happen again. Had a good time, no boats, crowds, people, just calm the whole week was amazing.

Click on each pic, last pic is AFTER park made the repairs....
