Thinking of buying 2008 Tiffin Allegro 34TGA

Hi All ,
We are first time motor home buyers. We are looking at a 2008 Tiffin Allegro 34TGA. Looking for input on issues or experiences with them. Any info would be appreciated since we are new to the whole experience !
Thanks !

We have the 2012 TGA with 3 slides. It is on the larger Chassie and is a Ford V10. The two slides up front on DS and PS really open it up. We have Friends in our Good Sams's Chapter that have other Brands and they Love our Floor Plan. Good luck with you Choice.

I have a 2012 34 TGA. There has been several nagging problems like the DVD Player shorting out and in the shop three separate occasions until they found a bad HDMI cable. Also the main slide hydralic jack was leaking oil, but now the drivers door is leaking rain water like a sive. Turns out the seam on the front side of the door jamb, where the two ends of the formed metal come together was not sealed. A little RTV took care of that. The A/C system on the V-10 motor has been leaking charging oil and now green system dye. Tiffin sent me a new hose and the accumulator. Had it put on at an RV service center but is still leaking. Once a week I have to start it and put a gauge on it and add gas. Cannot figure out what is leaking. Good Luck.

Thanks for the information.
We drove home yesterday with a 2008 Tiffin Allegro Open Road 34 TGA. We stayed a week to make sure that everything was in good working order. Found a couple of issues and had them address them before we left. We are pleased with our choice so far. Looking froward to being a part of the RVing community ! Everyone we have met so far has been so helpful with answering questions and giving us tips !

Good for You. If you have an issue Call Tiffin. We had an issue with our Door Lock on the Road in Island Park, Idaho and called Tiffin and they sent a new one to us and Mr Bob Tiffin also Called us To see if we were taken Care of. That is Customer Service in My Mind.

Be sure to check for "wet/rotten" floor under the fresh water tank. It'll be below your furnace (curbside) and behind your drain hook-ups (roadside). Runs from side to side. Not sure what all model years are involved but I've done an '08 and an '09 so far (replacing floor). Tiffin pays the bill but it's not an "official" recall so to speak. The folks at Tiffin are fantastic.

edit: The ones I did were Phaetons. The wet floor may not be a problem in the Allegro.
