Tiffin dealership in Jacksonville goes to General RV

Today while at Rivers Rv in Jacksonville I was informed that the Tiffin franchise was transferring to General RV. It apparently did not transfer with the sale to their new owner who does have Tiffin dealerships elsewhere. I later called General RV and spoke with a manager who confirmed it. He told me they would be selling Tiffins and would be fully set up for Tiffins in a couple weeks. He said they had Tiffin in other cities and he made it sound like it would be a smoothe transition. They have apparently already been servicing Tiffins in this local dealership. The dealership is shown as Orange Park, FL which is located south on the loop around Jacksonville.

Campers Inn has bought the dealership formally known as Rivers RV & Bus Sales. Rivers very seldom kept more than 5 new Tiffins in stock since the recession. Most of the remaining inventory is towable and used units. Non the less, sorry to see them go.

I bought my 36LA at the main General RV Dealership in Michigan in the fall and they told me if I wintered in FL that they would be selling and servicing them at their FL location. Their aim was to be able to take care of their customers when they went south for the winter. I guess to keep them out of other dealerships while in FL where they may be tempted to trade.

We bought our Allegro 36la from General RV in Grand Rapids,MI. They have carried Tiffin there for quite awhile, I believe it is there #1 selling brand.
Our salesman told us in the fall he thought they were going to have Tiffin down there and also in the Tampa area this year.
