Tiffin Inverters

Hi Guys. Just picked up a 2012 32’ Breeze. Is it typical to run the inverters all the time to have the front and galley TVs work? Both plugs up front are run off the inverter so there’s no option to plug elsewhere. Same goes for the galley tv. I would think once on shore power, it would bypass the inverters and provide power to everything. Do all breeze owners run these inverters constantly to use their TVs? I went thru the documentation I got with the coach, but can’t find anything speaking to this issue. Thanks in advance.

You can leave your inverter on all the time. The inverter has a bypass circuit so that when shore or generator power is available, that is passed-through the inverter to the loads on the inverter circuit. When shore or generator power is available to the inverter, it is not "inverting" dc power from your batteries, it is simply passing the AC power through.

Notsure the F14 advice is correct, for your coach.

It IS, in relationship to the current models of inverters that are being used, but if I'm not mistaken in your model and age of coach you just have two small inverters.

Therefore I think your TV's will indeed just always run off the inverter. Your converter (charger) will take the shorepower 120vac and charge the house batteries. Your inverter will take the 12vDC and invert it back to 120vac. That was a common cost cutting method in a number of coach manufacturers who weren't putting in the $1500 automatic converter/inverter/transfer switch devices.
