Have a 2010 tiffin phaeton 43' RV . I am a afraid to driver into cold climates, such as where I am now12 degrees outside. Can anyone tell me roughly how many days I can heat with my 37 gallons of propane? My previous RV had aqua hot and I spent 3 weeks near the Canadian boarder without fear of losing heat

You might want to call the folks at Tiffin and see if they can give you some estimates.

If you are plugged into electric and you run a heater or two to supplement the furnace?

Difficult to estimate, since it depends on how much you run the furnace, the temperature you set on the thermostat, and how cold it is day & night. W eek is probably a fairly safe bet, but it could easily be two weeks with modest conservation or slightly warmer outside temps.

Use more electric and less propane if you can.

You're only 52° above where the propane would turn to liquid. This drastically diminishes length of time it will last. I have charts. If I knew the BTU of your furnace I could come up with a reasonably close estimate.

Just drive south...brrr, I spent time in an RV park in North Florida last winter. I would walk the park in the morning. What I noticed is - I would hear a furnace running...I would look and it was a Tiffin. I came to the conclusion Tiffin's are not insulated very well.

Try electric heaters to supplement the furnace. The new electric heaters are much better than what I remembered from years ago.

REALLY?
Have you checked them out?
Maybe occupants want to be warm.
What about all the other brands?
In my coach, the ceramic floor in bath is cold- could I have turned the heat on??

I would second the guess of a week, having just spent two weeks in VA mountains where the overnight temps were in low 30's to high 20's. I used 10 gal of propane in two auxiliary tanks in about 4 days. I use "Extend-a-stay" coupling to enable the use of regular grill type tanks which can run to the filling place without having to move the coach.
.Heat set to 65 daytime (or electric if temp over 45) when we were not in the coach, and set to 72 evenings while sitting around. Back down to 69 or 70 for overnight.

I just use a small ceramic heater plugged into the front of the coach. I found that the heater really does help a lot and thus saves propane. I ran for 11 days on my tank using the ceramic heater in 25 degree weather. But then again I like to sleep in cool and don't like the inside to feel like an oven. I kept the thermostate at 71 during the day and 69 at night.
