Tiffin Power Glide Chassis, Steering

I have a 19' Pheaton 40 IH. Have put 8000 miles on it in varying conditions over the last 9 months. Over all I am very satisfied with the handling. However, there is always room for improvement? I am not knowledgeable on this subject, but is there any "stabilizers" available for this chassis, that might help with a blow out, or bad cross winds etc.?

Safe-T-Plus now offers their stabilizer for 40IH. Not sure of pricing. Definitely on my wish list.

I had Safety Steer add to my 40 IH. I was extremely happy with ride and tracking of the coach and was more concerned with steering safely in case of a front end blow out.
I did feel an improvement in high wind conditions and passing big rigs. The improvement was noticeable but not a “night and day difference” probably because the it handled really well before.
I don’t remember what I paid because I had it done along with my annual chassis service but I don’t think it was a lot of money.
I’d do it again.

I did not think these were issues with a DP? So much bs on these forums.

Bill,
Thanks for the input, I agree that the Pheaton definitely handles well as is. I am looking at this as much for safety reasons as anything, but if it helps a little with cross winds etc., so much the better! I will be looking into this, again, thanks.

I just had the Saf-T-Plus install on my 2018 Phaeton 40AH in Red Bay at Bay Diesel last week. I HIGHLY recommend it. On my way back to LA via I-20 and it's a much easier drive both down the road and when dealing with a passing big rig.

If you decide to go with the install, I also recommend an alignment. Total cost with the alignment was $1,300 and worth every dime.
