Tiffin Service Center Change of Warranty Work

Has anyone found a service center that actually knows how to repair our coaches?!! After being taken for many thousands of dollars, we found the Red Bay, Tiffin service Center for warranty ( good SAMs or like) now they are changing the policies for this work. I think they had problems getting payment from some of the company's, but not positive.
The problem I for see, is that the Rv sales company's really do not know much about our coaches. It seems like the tinker with problems on our dime.
They fix one thing and damage two other things!
I was told that Tiffin invited the company's that sell Tiffins to send their service people to Red Bay for training, but no one was interested.
When we had a problem with our wet bay sagging, Redlands truck and Rv in California, the " authorized Tiffin service center quoted us over 7,000.00 dollars to do the repair! Thankfully, we called Red Bay and found out it was covered under the Tiffin warranty! This service center was a five star service center! So what are we going to endure with a lesser repair center! I don't think Tiffin is aware of how shady it's "authorized dealers and service centers" are! Nor are they aware of how these people try to sell less than Tiffin products, when people specifically ask to see Tiffin products. I just sent a buyer to a " authorized Tiffin sales center". After i finished explaining the differences, important features and why we just bought our second Tiffin, (this time the 12 QGP bus. They pushed Winnebago. They ended up ordering the new phaeton 45. I hope Tiffin is not loyal to these service centers, because they are not loyal to anyone but themselves. There must be a way to get honest, reliable service for our sweet coaches. I would gladly pay 200 dollars for a Red Bay Tiffin employee to handle our warranty paper work. I would pay upfront. I am in St. Louis right now and need service! The Tiffin dealer has a horrible reputation for service. There must be a better idea than Tiffin just not doing out of Tiffin warranty/ good sams type warranty work !?? I wonder if Tiffin knows about the predatory authorized sales and service they are recommending to us? I knew I was in good hands going to Red Bay. I was grateful to wait weeks because I was waiting for honest with a clue! Does anyone have any service centers that are not predatory AND have a clue as to what they are doing? Should we all write Tiffin for a compromise at the Tiffin Service center? Thanks for any thoughts. Just bought our 12 bus and need to fine tune it.

Tiffin will authorize you to take your coach to any service center that you like for warranty work.

Some of the service centers will require you to pay in advance and Tiffin will reimburse you as long as you have prior authorization from Tiffin for the work to be done.

Check this website for reviews of service centers in your area.

Great move...should have happen yrs ago. Do best what they promised to do, stand behind their products.
Tiffin is not Mercedes Benz or BMW, that can rebuild their product!
Owners that want re-mod work done, extended warranty work ...take it to a outside completion shop. Hopefully this will cause TMH to be more proactive with their dealer service centers. Yes, it will take some time to get there.
But days of free camping and storage at RB needed to end.
Just maybe stronger dealer service centers may result to all our benefit.

There are two different issues you discuss: the Tiffin warranty and Extended Warranties.

First, the Tiffin warranty work- Tiffin continues to do warranty work on things such as the "big 3" wet bay, roof/cap rails and driver's side floor but there is a time limit for each one. Tiffin also continues to repair things free of charge or at a low cost. I was there in August and went in an Express Bay where they repaired some molding on a slide, the step cover not extending, the charge solenoid (I had the part), parking brake adjustment and some other small things. They worked for 2 hours and it cost me $57.00. I also had the wet bay replacement and the roof rails replaced at no cost to me. I was there for 3 workdays total.

Tiffin no longer deals with extended warranties or upgrades/modifications because it slowed everything down at the repair center. Witness how much faster people are being served at the center since 9-1-15. I, for one, am very happy that they made this decision because there are many other shops in Red Bay that can do very good work. If it means I can move through the service center faster then I am all for it since I don't go there unless only Tiffin can do the repair. I live in Alabama and found that Brannon at Custom RV in Red Bay does a great job on anything I ask of him. I hadn't been to the Tiffin service center in 3 years until I had to go in August for 2 of the big 3 fixes.

Since you generally have to have the work approved by the warranty company BEFORE the work is done, going to the Tiffin service center possibly be a non-issue if you can get pre-approval for the repair, pay for it yourself and get reimbursed by the warranty company.

There are good repair shops out there that will handle warranty work, you just have find them. If you have a big problem on the road that would be covered by your warranty, then I would suggest asking for recommendations on this forum (as you did) or TRVN, check out the repair reviews for ones you were told about, call and ask if they will handle extended warranty work.
