Tiffin Wayfarer and Battle Born Batteries

Hello folks!
I am considering doing an upgrade to my coach batteries and charging system and looking for information.

I don't want to start a debate between Lead Acid, AGM and Lithium battery selection. I am hoping to find someone with some knowledge that can give me some guidance.

I was told the batteries that come with the Wayfarer are a cross between a deep cycle and starting battery and not a true deep cycle battery.

As I understand it, I will need to replace they charge controller in the Progressive Dynamics power panel to a support lithium converter/charger.

I am not sure how to handle the alternator charging to the house batteries. Does anyone know if something has to be put inline from the alternator and the coach batteries to work with the Battle born batteries?

Has anyone converted their Wayfarer to battle born batteries?

Thanks in advance.

I decided to stay with what came with the vehicle until I experienced how the batteries performed on enough trips and if the solar can keep them topped off in the winter while my WiFi, security cameras, spyder panel, and CoachProxy create a constant draw. I'm using CoachProxy to monitor my batteries remotely while in storage and waiting to see if I reach a point where it alerts me.

I watched the RVGeeks on YouTube recommend swapping solar or batteries, but not both at the same time as to learn how each change performs on it's own. They picked batteries first. I picked solar first as I needed it added new anyways.

If you swap, please let us know how it works out.

At $949 for a 12V, 100 amp battery I see little advantage over a pair of 230 amp 6V golf cart batteries. Slightly heavier than the original 12V batteries, but they work and are pretty bullet proof.
