Tire pressure sensor system recommendations
Hello, folks ! I am relatively new here and a recent new owner of a Tiffin 31SA.
My question is regarding tire pressure maintenance. Having experienced several tire failure events in our previous motorhome, I want to try and avoid that unnerving experience in the future. One way I hope to do that is to closely monitor tire pressure and temperature while driving. I was hoping to receive recommendations for tire pressure monitoring systems. Any thoughts on the best systems for 6 tires In terms of accuracy, ease of installation and use ?

I'm another satisfied three year user of the TST507 system. They just introduced a new color monitor that is supposed to be easier to see. I've ordered it, but can't say yet how effective it will be. With the TST you can monitor up to 22 tires (it's designed for trucks) but ten is enough for me.

In addition to the color display, TST is also releasing the same display in monochrome. For some with "older" eyes this may be slightly easier to read in low light conditions.

We also use Steer-Safe in case we get a front blow-out, but we rely on the TST tpms to let us know if we have picked up a nail or if something else has caused the tire to lose pressure.

Great suggestion for when the front goes. I had the opportunity to see the damage when a tire flies apart and the driver doesn’t notice soon enough and it rips apart the wheel well and brake lines and wiring harnesses. If they had sensors the reason they blew could have been detected when the problem started and likely avoided.

I have been using the TST 507 for 8 years and it has been great. It does just what a good TPMS should do. You would not be disappointed with it. Plus they have excellent customer service.
