Tire Pressures 31 foot open road (Gas)

Good evening, been follow the treads on tire pressure, we are from Northern Michigan, I have no scales available to me here. I found the tire pressures on the door jamb 90 psi (I have Michelin tires) Motorhome Is a open road 31' SA.
My question should I set them at 90 until I can get the unit weighed? It rides pretty rough a 90 to say the least.

YES! FWIW, the vast majority of tire failures are the result of under-inflation/overloading, something like 90%.

Have you looked outside the box? A google search shows a lot of sand, gravel and concrete suppliers that typically have scales. Also, moving companies regularly use scales and if they don't have a scale may be able to direct you toward scales. Another group of firms that have scales are farm stores supplying fertilizer and lime and farm chemicals. Also look for elevators where farms sell grain and corn. They're out there, they just tend to hide below the horizon a bit. A call to your state police may also locate a weigh scale location, either permanent or temporary, that may help, especially if you whine a bit. (LOL)


Although individual corner weights are the most desirable, weights by the axle are satisfactory until you can get the 4 corners weighed. If you're concerned about side to side weights you can do an axle weight and add 5psi to account for that concern.

I got mine weighed at a gravel company , well worth doing as I found I was pretty close to max on the front
