Does your toad have relays that require 12 volts to operate. Center pin on 7 pin round connector is +12 volts. My toad requires it to activate relays for all toad lights to work. My RV has a separate fuse for that.

I installed diodes inside the tail lights of my 2018 Equinox. Your problem could be there.
