Tow Plug

I have an 08 Allegro Bus. The tow plug has no right turn signal or brake lite. I cannot find the fuse for the tow plug. Does anyone know where to find the fused?

Just a thought...the plug brass posts coming from the motorhome have a split down the center of each post. Sometimes the post becomes crimped so that the post is too thin and does not make contact. I space the post in my rig using an x-acto blade. Again, just a thougt.

The fuses are in the electrical compartment which is the left (driver side) rearmost under deck. (Just forward of the radiator. There is a box in the upper right of he compartment with a cover held in by 4 screws. Once you have the cover off, there's a diagram on the inside of the cover that supposedly tells you what fuses to check. A great idea, but poorly executed in my Bus. The labeling bears little relationship to what the fuses actually serve. Just use a meter and check them until you find the right one.

Had a similar problem on our 2006 Phaeton QSH, except it was the passenger side tow harness. In our case it was the fuse block (relays) that failed. The block was changed out at less than 2 years under warranty, by the service center at Red Bay.

We are have a problem with our tail lights

We don't have tail lights on our Jeep now. Everything else works. We have a 2006 Phaeton QDH. Can you tell me where the fuses for the tow plug are located. They work fine on the motor home.

If they are working fine on the MH...then you do not have a fuse problem. Look at the umbilical to the toad for problems. First look for signs of stress on the connections. You can disassemble each end and check internal for tightness. If no signal at all, check particularly for a "ground" problem. You can run a separate ground jumper wire to rule-out this item.

Upon reassembly, Sandpaper any rust or soiled contacts. Add a dab of dielectic grease to plug-in ends to ensure a good waterproof contact that will deter rust.

Not sure about the Phaeton. Call the Tiffin Help line at 256-356-0261 and they'll tell you right where it is. When I first had my fuse problems, everything on the back of the bus worked fine. It was just some pins on the 7 pin plug that were dead.
