Tow Vehicle Question

Tiffin owners with tow vehicles. It seems most Tiffins 38ft under have 5k hitches. Maybe all do.....

I am interested in a Tiffin Allegro Red 33AA (5k hitch) and want to pull a Silverado 1500 with a golf cart in the back. When all is said and done the toad and golf cart will be around 5200lbs. Anyone do this? I see going down the hwy here and there......

Some folks who have done this say its not a problem. What you all think?

2015's have a 5K hitch, with an Allison 2500 transmission

2016's could be ordered with either a 5K or 10K hitch/transmission

2017's all have a 10K hitch, with an Allison 3000 transmission

The upgraded rating is due to both the hitch, and a heavier duty 3000 transmission, versus a 2500 transmission.

I think you'd be overweight with a 32K model, pulling that load.

I think your 5200 lb estimate is low...

Have you weighed the truck and golf cart. I agree that weight you cited sounds low. Exceeding the MFGs recommendations is not a good idea, especially if you were unfortunate enough to have an accident.
