Towing 9,000 lb Trailer with 08 42' Phaeton

I think I might have found a 'peach' 2008 42' Phaeton tag to replace my 05 34' Monaco Cayman, but I have only one concern...

I use it to pull a 9'000 lb trailer and am worried about the ISC-360 not really being up to the task.

There is a ISB-300 in my Cayman, and it does manage to pull the load, but long hills are, well, long.

With the Phaeton being a heavier coach to start, am I going to be in a similar situation I am in now? That is having barely any headroom?

I was hoping to have something that at least starts with a 4, as in 425 or 450 HP.

Oh, and BTW, the seller says that chipping it will resolve 'any' power issues...?

Cheers

My 2011 40' Phaeton with the 380 Cummins handled a 10,000# trailer just fine. The 360 won't be a racehorse, but should be adequate. Not sure what chipping it will do to the reliability of the 360.

Thanks, and I'm sure that your Allegro Bus handles it even better.

I can handle climbing slowly through the Appalachians, but I wouldn't want the engine to over-heat on foot-to-the-floor 10-mile climbs.
