Turn signal stalk

This is probably more a Freightliner question than a Tiffin question but here goes. We just bought a 2011 Phaeton 40QTH about a month ago and have been slowly working through a few minor issues.

I'm having an issue with the turn signals. When I make a left hand turn, I have to hold the arm down to make the signals (and the camera) work. If I let go, they quit. They cancel normally and the right signal works fine (turn it on, and it stays on along with the camera until I cancel or the wheel turns). If feels like something is holding it back when I turn left. Has anyone else run into this issue? Like I said, the signal works fine as long as I keep pressure on it. All other functions (high beams, turning, cruise) work normally.

Not a minor issue to repair. Requires removing the steering wheel to replace the turn signal module in the steering column if the lever won't stay down. Used to do this on older cars before air bags but have never attempted repairs on modern vehicles. Covered under Freight liner warranty?

It stays down, just not far enough to activate the turn signal unless I "help" it.

There is no easy repair for a bad turn signal lever. Take it to a good mechanic to have it repaired.
