Ugly window treatments on 2012 36LA
According to my wife this busy pattern has to go. It seems that the material at the bottom off the frames extends up through the top. If I were to remove the top portion of the fabric, I think what's left is the same as the lower patter. The attached pic may help make sense of what I'm saying...uggggh! Anybody else ever experiment with this? I posted this on the tiffinrvnetwork site, but have only received a couple hecklers so far.

I recovered the fabric on my window treatments. Very simple to do. The hardest part is getting a screwdriver to remove the pieces from the moho. Once you get that done, the fabric is stapled / glued on. Just remove, attach new fabric and re-attach.

So, just to clarify my question. We like the lower portion of the window treatment. It's one neutral tone and appears to continue up under the busy patter along the top. I am definitely going to pull this off and see for myself. I was just wondering if anyone else has removed JUST the upper material, and if so, what did they find.

I'd take it off and take the whole thing to a fabric/upholstery store. They are making bed headboards all the time, and they may have some ideas and fabric or even do it for you for a price. Ours is a 2015 and not my taste. I'm getting rid of the gaudy silver buttons. At least you don't have them!

For the most part we like our fabric ,and we were lucky because the ugly part of it did not show on the window treatments ...
Sometimes I wonder who designs the interiors of these things....but then some folks think they are great...

When I recovered the valences on our Allegro Bay a number of years ago, the material on the legs went up under the fabric on the top, but did not cover the whole top. You will probably have to replace the top fabric entirely.
Replacing the fabric isn't that hard if you have a stapler. As has been mentioned, the hard part is reaching up under the valence with a long screwdriver (the screws are square drive) to take the valence down. The next difficult part is removing the bazillion staples that hold the fabric in place.

Took the valance off. Easy enough. The lighter design from the lower part does in fact cover underneath the upper ugly. But it is not wrapped around the edge/corner... There is also a screw holding the outer valance to the inner section. This would leave a noticeable hole in the fabric. Close, but no cigar. We will just cover the upper ugly with fabric of our choice. DW wife is very good at this.

The upper, (horizontal), portion of the window trim in your pics is called a Valance while the lower, (vertical), portions are known as Lambrequins.
In my coach the window lambrequins are not part of the valances.
As you have found... just the valances are easy to remove for recovering.

Lambrequins. Who knew? Hahaha. Thanks Mel. Mine were in fact attached with screws from the valance into the lambrequin, and they came off as an assembly. I decided that damage would occur if I tried to separate them. Wife was able to work around it. May put the decorative tacks back on to add some contrast. Anyway, small minor project but shared it anyway.

Thanks for sharing! We've upgraded the flooring (green shag/wood/stick on tiles to interlocking vinyl tile) and couch (fabric to leather) in our '98 Allegro Bus. Valances and lambrequins (thanks Mel) are in (same as the couch was) patterned fabric of purple, green and gold. I'd looked but was slightly intimidated by trying to get those screws out. They'll now be my winter project after our fall trip.
