Warranty for the Cummins engine and Transnmission

Hello Friends! My warranty on my 2015 Allegro Red will be expiring next month, I'm aware that Tiffin only covers the coach for one year but does Freightliner cover the engine and transmission for another two years or 36,000 miles or is it all just for one year? Thank You in advance!

You will have three warranties to contend with, the chassis, the engine and then the transmission.

Chassis warranty is here: http://www.fcccrv.com/parts-and-service/warranty/

What engine/trans do you have?

2 years, 250,000 miles is what I've found so far on the ISL9.
ISB6.7 is 2 yrs, unlimited mileage.

Allison:
Quote:
Standard Warranty provides coverage of 2 years/80,000 miles and 100% parts and labor.
If the transmission is OEM factory filled with Allison Approved TES 295 transmission fluid,
then end-user is automatically registered, at no additional cost, for Extended Transmission
Coverage, which provides coverage of 5 years/200,000 miles and 100% parts and labor.
Use of Allison Approved TES 295 transmission fluid and Genuine Allison Filters is required
to maintain Extended Transmission Coverage. Failure to meet these guidelines will result in
only Standard Warranty coverage as described above.

Also remember that the warranties have changed from year to year. What I posted are the latest and might not apply to your year. Seems like the manufacturers are getting stingy with them!

Probably all of this is in your owners packet, I know it is on our rig.

You should have documents that came with your MH that are specific for Cummins and Allison (if that's your transmission).

Both should have a 5 year warranty.

Of course, all services should be done on schedule and with factory parts and fluids to be sure of coverage.

You can contact Freightliner directly for any paperwork or questions.

I got 5 years 100,000 from Cummins om my 2008 500HP ISM engine. I suggest you call Cummins with your engine serial number, that number should be on the inside of one of your cupboard doors. It would be a good idea to have a Cummins dealer check your engine thoroughly before the warranty expires. Just let them know you would like it done before expiration.

Thanks for the information. My engine is the Cummins 340 with the Allison 2500 the year of the rig is 2015, it was bought new on March 3 2015. I will check my paperwork for the warranty information I do remember reading information on this matter when I picked up the coach but when I went back last week to check it I could not find the piece on the warranty again THANKS for the information. I recommend that you get in direct contact with Freightliner regarding the warranty. I purchased a 10 month used 2013 Allegro RED and later found that it had never been registered with Freightliner. They are very helpful and will give you specific answers about your chassis warranty.
