Washer/dryer slide door replacement?

Today I noticed our slide door for the washer/dryer is damaged. At first I thought it may have caught on something when we were pulling the slides in, but I cannot see anything for it to catch on. Iím guessing it must have not been latched and slammed open/shut?

I looked on Tiffinís parts catalog and could not find a replacement door. It could possibly be fixed, but if it wasnít terribly expensive Iíll just replace.

Should this be a part I could order from them? I sent them an email and still waiting to hear back.

My rig had a broken wardrobe door, evidently got caught in the slide. I fixed it with a 12-pack, some Gorilla Wood Glue, and a few big clamps from Harbor Freight. Looks good now, last long time. Maybe?

Yeah, Iíll probably wind up trying to repair it. Unless Tiffin would sell and ship at a reasonable cost.

I would bet that it will be a several hundred dollar replacement versus $5 worth of Gorilla glue!

And that’s if it’s not damaged in the shipment.
From appearances, that’s an easy fix.

Looking good. And now we both have Gorilla glue and clamps for the next time a door is open when a slide is moved.

I believe I found out why the door slammed open and shut going down the road. The bottom slide mechanism is broken so itís not grabbing when the door is closed. I went ahead and ordered two to replace the top and bottom.

Tiffin parts department is very helpful and part costs seem to be very reasonable. The slide mechanisms were only $6.50 each. Waiting for those to come in before I put my door back on.
