Does anyone know what the filter # is for the on board filter on a 2016 36 LA
I was hoping to get new filter before i take it apart . But i can not see a filter number on the canister

Those filters are pretty generic and are sold at Home Depot. Go to Home Depot, look for the same size filter housing and buy the filters that fit. Your biggest choice will be what micron level you want to use.

Filters are made to remove different elements from the water. Depending on what you want to remove, depends on what filter you need.

Seeing as how you are new at this, I suggest you take a look here https://www.rvwaterfilterstore.com/SFNT.htm to see what filter you need. Most filter cartridges fit the Calgon housing

A 36 LA what? If you identified the brand & model of the coach, you might get more specific answers.

Well let's see, the op is in the TIFFIN forum and he said it was a 36LA. That tells me it's a Tiffin Allegro 36LA which is on a Ford chassis.

I get our water filters on Amazon, Pentek plus , it's a .05 micron but flows like a 10 so no water restriction. It's carbon . They run about $18 but they do not have the antibacterial so I change them out a couple of times a season.

I removed the filter on my 36LA by unscrewing the canister and then took my old original filter to Home depot to get the correct replacement. Didn't really need to do this since all the filters turned out to be the same standard size. You can install the canister without the filter if you need water while looking for a replacement filter. BTW buy a filter housing wrench if you don't have one.
