Water Issue

I filled the water tank today thru the inlet in the wet bay and didn't get it stopped before it over filled. With the hose disconnected and wet bay valve in the city water position when I turn on the water pump water comes out the city water connection in the wet bay. When I turn the valve to tank fill it doesn't come out the city water connection but the pump never stops running. Any idea what the issue is?

Valve to city fill must have failed or is in the wrong position

City water inlet check valve stuck open.....so water from pump is leaking out thru it

When you swapped to FILL position....pump discharge is doing a 'round robin'.....going from fresh water tank and back to fresh water tank
Pump can not build enough pressure in system to cause pressure switch to open so pump run continuously

City Water Inlet Check Valve
With pump off/open faucet to relieve system pressure
Then push in on center tab in city water inlet connection
*that is the end of plunger check valve---that might reset the check valve
Hopefully it is not the o-ring on plunger...they get damaged/dislodged and one usually has to replace the city water inlet assembly
