Water overfills fresh water tank

I have a 2018 Phaeton 40IH that has a water issue. At first I thought it was the water pump, but after replacing the water pump, I still have the same problem. When in City Water position the fresh water tank continues to fill and ends up overflowing. Also when in City water position the pump will continuously run and won't shut off. I get some pressure at my faucet, but not much. Is the tank fill/city water valve bad? or is ther something else I am missing. It is a new pump so I don't think its the back fill valve on the pump.

Well I crimped the water line from the diverter to the water tank and found that the fresh water tank longer overflows. So I know that the new water pump is not the culprit. As a temporary solution I will install a valve on this line until I can replace the diverter valve.

Any idea what a good part number for the diverter valve is?

Before you change out the valve try this. Take the handle off of the valve and file away about 1/8" of the stop on the handle whic will allow the valve to turn off a bit further. I had the same issue with our Allegro RED and filing the valve handle totally fixed it.

I had a similar problem on a trailer I own. Happened when I hadn't used the rv for awhile . "Check" valve was sticking. Disconnected the city water and used the pump for awhile. problem cleared itself up.

Does the OP's coach have a shower miser?

No shower miser. Lt. Dan, I removed the lever on the diverter Fill Tank/City valve and rotated the position a little past the City Water position and still no difference, tank overflows. I have put an inline valve that goes from the city side of the diveter valve to the tank as a temporary solution. I will call Tiffin on Monday and get a new part number.
