Water Tank self filling

It would appear that my fresh water tank is filling up even though the valve is set to City Water rather than Tank Fill. I moved it back and forth a couple times but still has a slight fill. It will do this until water runs out of the overfill. Any ideas what would cause this ?

I had the same issue on our Allegro RED. I filed about 1/8" off of the handle stop area so the valve would close a bit farther and it eliminated the problem. The other thing that may allow the tank to fill is the check valve inside the water pump. If you have a shutoff valve in the fresh water line, turn that off and see if the tank continues to fill. If not, then it's the check valve.

Not sure what year Tiffin started putting the Water Miser system in the Bus but if you have a blue circle (it turns brighter blue when the water is hot) in your shower stall, it's installed. You will also have two valves in the stall; one for the shower and the other for the Water Miser. If the Miser valve is open, city water will go into the tank when connected and water from the fresh tank will circulate back into the tank when using the pump. This is to conserve water while waiting for hot water in the shower.

Most common point of failure is the check valve in the water pump. You can rebuild the pump, replace the pump, or add a check valve in the pump line from the water tank. Given the age of your coach, I would probably just replace the water pump.

The pump is only a couple years old. Donít have a water miser to my knowledge I did t realize fresh water could enter the system if the shut off valve was on city water

Most likely the valve has a crack or is not closing all the way
My 2007 Ellipse did that, found that the plastic valve was cracked. Probably from the winter freeze one yr
