What happens to the glycol in AquaHot

I had my annual AquaHot service in February. They changed out the old AquaHot glycol for new. Since then, I have had to add quite a bit. It came back from service on the low side so I added more, and on a current trip I just added quite a bit as well. When I started the trip, my level was about a third up from the cold line. That was 5 days ago. Last night I checked it and it was well below the cold line, so I added enough to bring it half way between the cold and hot lines. I don’t see any evidence of a leak either in the bay itself or on the ground below it. I just don’t remember it requiring so much before. I have plenty of hot water and heat, and no trouble lights or cut offs. What is the normal consumption of the AquaHot glycol and is there something else or somewhere else I should be looking for problems. Thanks in advance.

I've not seen much loss, after a similar situation where I lost 1-2 Qts. But once the level was stable, it hasn't really moved.

I wonder if you had air in the lines after the change?

With drm901. Air in the lines. Service folks may not have run the unit up to full temp. Had same problem previously. It’ll stabilize. No place else for it to go where you wouldn’t see it.

Yup, certainty sounds like whoever serviced your unit never purged the air. Instead of pumping in new fluid, they just probably kept dumping it into the tank.
