Wheel Covers

A few years back, my folks were at the Tiffin factory (Red Bay, AL I believe) for some repair work on their coach. While there, they had some wheel covers made for their coach. They snap on the outside rather than the ones that slip over the tire. I think they said that someone from the Tiffin factory made them on the side. Does anyone have any information that I might use to contact this person. Or for that matter any other outlets for this type of wheel protection. I'm traveling this winter and can make a stop most anywhere to get them.

If the tires don't extend beyond the fenders, I'd think any upholstery shop could make 'curtains' that snap on the fenders and cover the wheel wells.

Bob - I have thought about an automotive or boat upholstery shop. But if there was someone that specialized in RV's it might be a little cheaper. Camping World now has a supplier but it looks like they would run about $100 per wheel-well. Was looking at making a pair myself, but the tool to attach the snaps or twist latches is expensive for a one time project. So unless someone has found a place, your idea is probably the most practical.

I don't know what tool is expensive, on the boat I grew up on we replaced snaps with a hammer, tool and die. Here's the first one that popped up on a quick search: Handi-Man Canvas Snap Fastener Kit 100 Peice
