White "rubber" water hose Pex fittings
The white "rubber" hoses that Tiffen uses in the water bay are connected with a Pex crimp fitting. These fittings are 18.5 mm and are not easy to find in the big box stores. Commonly found 1/2 inch fittings are too small and a 3/4 is too large. The fitting size is usually stamped on the fitting.

White "rubber" water hose Pex fittings
Those PEX fittings are used on PEX hose. Home Depot or Lowe’s will have everything that you need.

I checked at both Lowes and Home Depot. They did not carry the 18.5mm fittings. I had to order them from Amazon.

Not sure if the SharkBite fittings would work on the soft hose. I have not found any metric Sharkbite either.

...not sure shark bite is that particular about the exact size?????? Curious--would a uniquely sized ban require a uniquely sized crimping tool??????

Crimp tool for the 18.5mm is the same for 1/2 and 3/4 inch. The issue I see with the shark bite is that they are made for Pex which is more rigid that the hose.

Agree--you might find a brass bushing to fit the ID of the rubber hose but an 18.5 mm crimp bad might be the best solution...

Most of the plumbing in my coach is the referenced "white" hose. I have installed numerous shut off valves with regular pex fittings and cinch clamps from Lowes/HD/Menards. The only issue has been that some of the cinch clamps are hard to slip over the flex hose.

The clamps used by Tiffen are 18.5 mm. I tried the 1/2 inch and as you say they are very hard to get over the hose and very hard to crimp. That is why I went to the 18.5 mm fitting.

They always seem to leak if you mess with them. Odd size and brittle fittings (china I suspect) so I just keep a supply of regular ss hose clamps handy.
