Window shade spring let shade unroll

We've had our 2016 36LA for 6 months and have had very few minor issues. Now one of our window shades has almost come completely unrolled. It seems the spring has lost all its tension. Has anyone had this happen to them, and is there a simple fix? Or do I need to contact Tiffin to have a new one sent to me?

Thanks for any suggestions!

I would just call Tiffin and have them send you a new shade. When you get the shade removed, see if you can wind it up (these are similar to regular household window shades). If you can retension it, you have a spare.

I had the D.S. shade do that.
Called the shade man. and just took it down and re wound it for spring tension. Mine had worked out a bit on the end and let it unwind on me.
Not hard at all.

Steve,
We had to have Tiffin send us two, under warranty, they just failed. I replaced them myself and sent the bad ones using their UPS mailer. You will need a flashlight, and a long screwdriver or long extension on your drill to remove and reinstall. They suggested removing the valance, but I did it without doing that and way easier then the hassle of removing the valance.

Thanks everyone!

Tiffin sent me a replacement duo roller day/night shade kit which has both shades attached. I used a long Phillips screwdriver to remove the existing shade only to notice I did not need to remove any screws. There are 3 shade clips holding the shade in place. I wish Tiffin would have sent installation instructions. I put the clips back in place and after many attempts to get all 3 clips to latch correctly I was back in business with the new shades. Tiffin didn't ask for the old blind back and I was unable to rewind the bad blind. Oh well. Tomorrow I will be contacting Tiffin about the 2 1x8 HDMI splitter boxes in our closet as they are both bad. Good thing we're under warranty for another 6 months. I do have to say they are great at sending out replacement parts straight to the owner. If I went through the dealer it would take months. I still have two items from the original walk through punch list that Lazy Days has still yet to contact me about. Crazy!
