When we first bought this bus, we had problems with the passenger side ceiling lights going out. The dealership found a short in the wiring and fixed it. Not to mention other problems, the lights have gone out again and now two of the lights on the water pump switches have gone out. Has anyone else had regular wiring problems? Love the bus, hate the continual problems. Thanks

I see this is your first post. Let me be the first to welcome you to iRV2.

I see that you have a 2007 42QSP Allegro Bus. The 2007 Bus used the 3 rows of recessed quartz ceiling lights. Each row was controlled by a separate rocker switch in the hallway. I haven't heard of any problems with this design and mine works just fine. Either you have a bad wire someplace or a bad switch. This isn't typical and once your dealership finds the problem takes care of it properly you should have no more problems.

As to the water pump lights - some have issues and some don't. I went through 1 on my '04 Bus after 3 years but put two into my '07 so far. Again, it's warranty and they do go out every now and then. The new ones are LEDs now but if this keeps happening I'd have the dealership check your output voltage from the inverter/charger. If it's too high, you'll be blowing those LEDs frequently.

Thank you for your input. It reassures me that others have problems, ever so minor. WMy wife and I went from a 3700sq ft house to full time motorcoach living. For the money, i feel we made the right decision, but need to get use to the problems, which seem to occur on all buses, even on the $1M+ types! Bob Tiffin is a great guy and business man. He takes care of his customers personally, if needed. Thanks again and safe travels to all.

We have an '05 Bay. The lights (incandescent) on all 3 water pump switches (bath, galley, water service compartment) burned out within the first 18 months. I replaced all the bulbs with LEDs from Radio Shack. No problems since.

The red light went out on my electric hot water heater switch when the coach was about a year old. The local service dealer had to put 5 new switches in before they found 1 that the light worked. Six months later the light is out again. The switch works, the light in it doesn't. I'm bound for Radio Shack.
