02' Discovery Discovery

We bought our 02' 37U Discovery last spring for $58,000. 77,000 miles and 425 hrs on the generator. New full body paint (beautiful!), new auto HD Dish Satellite, new Michelin tires, new Costco air/foam bed, and the owner left everything ie.,new dishes, pots, pans, wheel covers, chairs etc. (you get the picture) plus a Roadmaster Falcon 11 tow bar. He also left us a full satchel of every receipt categorized by him and the first two owners. Just the other day, my DW and I inputed every penny put into the coach and loaded it on an Excel spread sheet documenting each repair and part replaced. When the spread sheet added up all the costs it came to....$53,450. Now, we spent $4200 of that ourselves changing out the tube TV's for new cabinets and flat screens and bracketing up the Jeep, but we were a little...lot shocked at the money thrown into this coach. What is amazing is that there were no major repairs like motor, transmission etc. Just maintenance issues and some replacements. We love our Discovery and hope the first $53,000 fixed it.....the true optimist that I am!!
