04 tradition dash gauges going crazy

I have a 2004 American Tradition and my dash gauges will just start going crazy. It doesnt matter whether Im driving or sitting still. As long as the MH is running the gauges will for no apparent reason will start cycling back and forth. There is a indicator which shows that the voltage is 13.7v.If that icon goes out then the gauges immediately will start cycling.I have checked some grounds, wiggled wires going to the gauges.Plug and un-plugged connectors,i even found a network connector end with no dead end resistor.I am travelling across the US and at present i am in Pheniox AZ and cant get into a shop for at least 2 weeks.I will be moving on long before that.Has anyone ever had this issue and if so what did you find? And there is a fault comes up on the dash saying J-1939 data Error.

My oil pressure gauge was doing that, it appears the problem was a bad alternator, it has been rebuild and no longer fluctuates.
