'06 Discovery Porch Light Lens Replacement

I have an '06 Fleetwood Discovery and the exterior porch light lens which is Oval needs to be replaced as the lens is dry rotted. Has anyone had this problem and needed to replace the oval lens? If so, how do you replace the lense? Also, where did you get the replacement Oval lense? I'm hoping they still manufacture the replacement lens.

Thanks for any assistance you can provide me.

Mike

Just had to replace the entire light as I was not able to find a replacement locally. I was heading out on the road the next day. You should be able to get a replacement from fleetwood if you are not in any hurry. Good luck

Hi Mike,

The lenses last about 2-3 years and then turn to powder.
I ordered a few complete light assemblies and as I remember, they cost about $8.00 ea, from Fleetwood parts. What a deal!
Someone else may be able to track down just the lens.
I don't use anything but the lens and pop it back into the old unit which seems unaffected by UV rays. 800-322-8216

Does yours look like this:

Ours lasted only 3 years before the lens cracked so we replaced the entire fixture with a motion sensored LED light from StarLite . We like this one much better because it only comes on when it senses motion nearby (setting is adjustable) & it's LED so it uses less energy. We got ours at the FW national rally a couple years ago, but RVupgrades (a site Sponsor) sells them as well.

I replaced mine and like Steve had to buy the whole fixture from FW. I'm not sure they have any left as they told me last year that they had only one more. Please let us know what they say if you call them.

Thanks for everyone's assistance!

After calling a half-dozen places I just located the replacement porch light at Walt's RV located in Rialto, California. Their number is (909) 823-0563. I had to purchase the entire porch light and they were $10/each plus shipping. I bought two!
