1/2 Bathroom Door Handle Hits Fridge Door Handle

When the slides are in and we want to use the 1/2 bathroom, the door handle on the bathroom door hits the door handle on the fridge so it doesn't open very far (2019 Fleetwood Discovery LXE 40M). If I suck my gut in I can barely squeeze through, and I'm only 180 lb. Has anyone found a solution to this? Maybe a door handle for the bathroom door that doesn't stick out so much? I was looking for a flush door handle but have not seen one yet.

I had an issue with a door knob on the bath door of a travel trailer. Would always bang my hip on it when walking down the hallway. Always wanted to install a flush mount knob similar to the one in the link below. Never got around to it and our current rig has sliding doors. Give this a look. Search around for other sources as I think this one is a little pricey for a indoor knob, although it is somewhat of a specialty item.

I actually saw that exact flush door handle yesterday and ordered it. It should be here tomorrow and I will try and install it Wednesday morning. To hot here to do and work past 10am.

I tried that lock and it didn’t work. My door is 1 3/8 in thick and the description of the lock says it will work, but it does not.

Here’s my solution, leaves you without a lock but there’s only the two of us so a lock wasn’t required. Inside and outside are exactly the same.

ALANK

What exactly is that that you put on your Door? Where did you get it? It is just the two of us also so we don’t need it to lock.

Those two discs are made out of oak and painted silver to go with the interior. There is a cut down shoulder on the back to fit in the hole in the door, to keep them centered, and are connected by a square wood shaft to operate the latch. The shoulder and hole in the door is "soaped" to make it operate smoothly.
