American Coach: 10K Onan belt in 03-06 American Coach

I have read a lot about the belt upgrade kit from Onan on the 10K gen. Several other brands of mh have to pull the gen out of the chassis. I'm wondering if any have had this done in
a AC Tradition, Eagle, or Heritage from the years 2004 - 2006. I'm confident with the swap IF the three panels can be removed without pulling the gen from the slide tray. My service tech wants 10 - 12 hours labor! Can't remember if the gen has to be pulled. If it can be done without pulling the gen it's 3 hours labor. BIG difference. This concerns only a 10K Onan gen from 2003 - 2006. Thanks
