I'm currently having my interior redone. Ordered the footstool from Lisa Bauer, who does the Flexsteel chairs, but said she can't do my Lexingtons, so I'm having my L-shape couched redone by a local guy that does excellent work. As much as it kills me to put that much $$ into this POS couch, I have no alternative and dont want a regular couch. It going to have foam added and some frame altered to make it comfortable. Also have been to Bradd and Hall twice over the last few weeks trying to decide on buying new captains chairs or reupholstere mine. They told me they have a local shop provide them with the seat covers, and B&H just does the install on the seat bodies there at the shop. (They dont do reupholster work anymore) They are nice and appear alot better built than our OEM chairs. B&H have a swivel recliner that I really like that will be done in the same UL material to replace the Ureo chair thats has also peeled than Im going to buy. Small fortune being spent do to this peeling issue. My local guy has quoted me more to redo mine than if I just buy new. To redo ours, they have to be taken apart, each piece separated to be used as patterns for the new material. very time consuming. Whereas buying from a business that does sells captains chairs already have the patterns and just have to cutout and sew the pieces together. Ive seen captains chairs for as little as $800, but I dont believe it will be UL.
BTW, UL isn't really leather.
