1993 Fleetwood bounder 31'

Hey all, bought a 1993 bounder that has some minor house issues. For instance there was a blank board where the water pump should be an no water control panel. Schematic from Fleetwood mentions it, the panel but what does it do and any idea where to find it? New shurFlo pump works only by pushing one of house switches when disconnected. Also has a solar panel but not sure how it enters the electrical system. Generator runs with choke manually closed only.

Got this one. Untreated gas sat too long on the carb. Removing the carb from the gen and blow it out with choke /brake cleaner.

Welcome aboard.

Should have a controller like the following;
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/...0Controler.pdf

Note how it's wired, the pump will show 12VDC on the positive side. The controller will connect/disconnect the ground side, not the positive side.

Hard to say where the controller is mounted, Could be under the bed or perhaps in a compartment. If the controller is bad no pump.

My 93 pace has an electrical box in the electrical compartment. This panel is something like a BCC (Battery Control Center) It has ALL 12VDC fuses in it. it also has a circuit board. This BCC is where the solar panel(s) connects Yours might be close to the same.

Sounds to me like your generators carb needs to be pulled & cleaned. You might find jello in the float bowl! Had a honda generator that would only run with the choke closed. Removed the float bowl & found jelled gas in the float bowl.

What happens is the main jet will get clogged & cannot meter enough gas to keep the engine running. By closing the choke your introducing more gas & keeping the engine running.
Keep us posted

Yep...the dreaded ethanol strikes again. If rinsing the carb off with brake cleaner does not help, do a full disassembly and cleaning. I use Harbor Freight ultrasonic cleaner like this:
Ultrasonic Cleaner - 2.5 Liter

Throw the parts in a good degreaser solution(I use H7)and clean with the heat on for 20 min. Then repeat in 50% white vinegar & 50% water mix. Rinse, dry and re-assemble.

K, got the water pump and intellitec control installed. Light comes on and water is flowing. Was able to get the carb partially functional, generator runs with choke partially closed. Need to remove and thoroughly clean. What is the h7
Mentioned?

Yep, that's it(awesome stuff), but just about any industrial degreaser will do. Just remember, most will etch aluminium(even Simple Green), so as soon as you are done soaking, flush it out well with water.

You'd be amazed what plain old PineSol will do to clean an old gummed up carb. Let it soak for a day and blow out all the passages.
I plan to install a T with shut off valves at the generator fuel inlet so I can run some ethanol stabilized fuel through the carb when the unit will sit.
