1997 American Dream - Chassis A/C Question

Good morning team -

We recently purchased our vehicle from a known seller who has owned it since new.

Our first issue is the AC for the cab area. It seems to need a refrigerant recharge. It uses R-134, but the product we bought won't fit the high port on the AC unit. We bought an adapter set from Advance Auto - none of them fit either.

As the unit is 25 years old, no service places want to mess with it.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

Jim

Here's an old post where it appears they have the same year/model you have. They provided manual's. I saw in there where the port locations should be. It's universal meaning from Ford Chassis to Spartan Chassis. Good luck!

The low pressure charge port is on the back side of the compressor, ( above injection pump ) the one at front of motorhome is the HI pressure port, Never charge at this port!!
