1999 American tradition door gas strut
I was wondering if anyone knows the right gas strut to order, part number, etc so I can order a new gas strut for the front door. I one I have now is pretty much useless. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I get mine directly from American coach. They are surprisingly cheap. Give them a call, have your Vin, Fleetwood #, MFD ID #, in hand (they are located below the side drivers window on the outside of the Motor Home. Glenn Lever

I've replaced both mine, 1999 Eagle,
Got them form Amazon 2 years ago. The size is listed in the link below...the price I paid was less than now listed? I paid like 12 bucks I think....
https://www.amazon.com/Attwood-Gas-S.../dp/B00A8OFSC8
I seen a selection of various sizes at a NAPA near me.... perhaps get it local?

I think, and my memory is not what it used to be, I actually paid less through American Coach. I know I was surprised myself (when I purchased my new water heater American Coach was cheaper than Google).
The phone call might be worth the effort.

I went the other route and purchased at the local auto parts store. I took it off and sized it up; and it works great. It is a simple gas shock for many applications. I could not wait as my bungy strap was driving my wife crazy. Now it surprises the wife when she unlocks the door when it is not shut properly.

Mine only holds it open and must be overcome to close. I would like to see pictures of the brackets and shock setup.
So far as I know she has never fueled the coach.

I think if you take the shock off, you can find the specifications stamped in the metal. Just get the same length and tension from anywhere.

I was referring to the gas strut at the bottom of the entry door. Maybe I should have been more specific.

Ha-ha, how'd I get fuel door out of this? Plain as day, your orginal post says front door....
My old age is showing.
Any rate, whip it off and you can pick one up at AutoZone, Napa etc....or as Glenn noted, direct from rev....
